As part of the 23-campus California State University system, the university offers 115 areas of study for bachelor's degrees, 97 for master's, 11 credential programs and 36 certificate programs, from nine academic colleges. San Francisco State University consistently ranks among the top 50 master's-granting universities in the west by U.S. News & World Report.
